Thank you for your willingness to help with our Picnic! It is a great event of fellowship and fun, but does require a lot of volunteers! We value your time and will ask for a half-hour time commitment for volunteer activities occuring during the Picnic so you can still enjoy time at the Picnic yourself. Here are the description of duties: Set-Up Team - Set-Up barricades across parking lot, help the inflatable's company set up, preparing the food and seating areas. This team will need to arrive before the Picnic starts.Inflatable Games Team - This team will be monitoring the Inflatables for safety and fairness, as well as assisting small children on and off the inflatables. As they will be directly interacting with children, members of this team will need to have completed a background check with the church ahead of time if they do not already have one on file.Food Team - This team will be serving in the food line, abiding by health and safety parameters as they dish out food items.Clean-Up Team - This team will take out trash, wipe down tables, put away items, and help take down inflatables. This will require staying after the event is over.
Volunteer Task Preference
Please let us know which team you would be willing to help with. If you chose multiples, that does not mean you will be required to help in all of them. Your willingness to serve multiple areas allows us to fill in gaps we may have in our needs. We will contact you with the number you provided before the Picnic to let you know which team we have placed you on.
These time windows are estimates to help us space out volunteers. You will not be working a full one-hour shift. If you choose multiple time slots we will use those windows of time to find a volunteer slot for you in your preferred Team. We will contact you ahead of the Picnic to let you know what time slot we have placed you in.
